Yeah, the homeless are annoying but not hard to deal with nine times out of ten. Stonewall the fuck out of them.

No soul, Mike, show them no soul.

I have been following Tiesto since 99. I was immediately enthralled by what I still regard the best electronic CD ever compiled, Magik VI Live in Amsterdam. This CD is loaded with uplifting, energetic, blood moving tracks intricately mixed with angelic perfection. From that moment on, I could feel the magik flowing through my veins while listening to the music that Tijs carefully samples and produces. His creativity allows him to develop the concepts of songs that bring life and energy to people around the world.

I asked one once if it would make him happy if I gave him all the cash I had on me, and he said God Bless You... as I handed him about $0.20 in change. Oh well.

Just round them up on several large buses, and dump them all off in North Carolina.

Amazing DJ! I've seen him a couple times, most recently on July 4th in LA. He has amazing technical skills. He had a trumpet player come out a couple times to improvise with the track that was playing, which was pretty original.

I must say though that I don't think the DVJ concepts adds any value to his performance. It's just like "hey, the words to this song are on that screen." If he hooked up with a talented graphic artist to create visuals that compliment the music in an interesting way, that would be fantastic.

Just send them to Miami. They'll meet a ton of friends. I'm sure they'll enjoy the many bus rides we're giving them as well!

I always pay to park in the deck in front of Opera and I've never had issues. I've had my car broken into twice when I've parked in surrounding "monitored" lots.

I have a friend who also had her car broken into, in a lot behind Lava. Where are the police to watch these places?

I'm going to use the lot right across from Opera from now on. Hopefully I'll have better luck there than in the "open" lots.

1: Try at all costs to ignore them. Act like you're out of earshot or are focused on something else.

2: If they do engage you, simply say "Sorry man, all I've got is plastic." They run into thousands of people a night, and realize that it's often true that people don't carry cash, and that they'll run into hundreds of others that aren't you. They should leave you alone.

3: If that doesn't work, just tell them straight up "dude you're freakin' me out. I don't like that." and start walking faster. Most of them are harmless and will back off then.

I do #1 as often as I can. What happened Thursday was that the guy was right there at the machine

I've said some variation of #2 quite a few times. Thankfully, I haven't needed to use #3, but what do you do if you're in a car and are stuck in a closed parking lot, with the bum in your way?

Again, thanks for all of the advice. It really sucks that this otherwise nice city is being tarnished by a bunch of crack heads and bums...

They're on furlough. Welcome to low taxes and a recession.

I get you now. That does suck when they're by ATMs. You still can't give in though.

Regarding the parking lot, just keep your car moving. If they don't want to get hit, they'll get the fuck out of the way. (Remember these guys don't play. They're desperate.)

We had a homeless guy once follow us into the Quizno's on North Av., and after he saw us get change for our food proceed to ask us for money. I kindly told him to fuck off and kept walking, it works, 90% of the time they will not do shit.

When I was living at the Commons on Piedmont Ave. and John Wesley Dobbs Ave., I saw a homeless woman peeing in the bushes beside the Citizens Trust Bank, then she ran over to me asking for money. I politely said no, and kept walking. She followed me, noticed the cross around my neck (which does not signify Christianity for me) and said "JESUS IS WITHIN YOU LET US PRAY!" She fucking HUGGED ME and started to PRAY. I pushed her off and ran inside the Landmark Diner under the dorms, where she followed me yelling and screaming. The Diner apparently has this problem occasionally, because they immediately called the GSU police. That sent her running back into the streets.
