Really? You hope that happens? All due respect, Liquified has done an enormous amount for the scene in Atlanta as far as I know. Their shows usually go well, and I've never had any problem with any event I've been too. Hoping that they get shot down based on one fucked up situation which we don't even have solid, concrete details on is a pretty shitty outlook.

Yeah, it was a fucked situation last night, but from the sound of it it was WAY beyond their control. You think they were just sitting there last night laughing as all this happened? It was probably pure chaos, and in a situation like that where you have large crowds of mostly inebriated people, things tend to get out of hand and escalate quickly. The police were just doing their jobs, as shitty as that is.

Fact of the matter is, shit happens. When you're trying to coordinate an event that is drawing 5000 people there are a lot of things that can go wrong, and a show like this where people are usually off their tits before they even enter it can be even worse. Were there issues that should have been fixed before the show? Probably, but you can't just blame the promotion company when chances are they had very little to do with what actually went down, and even less control over things once it actually happened.

Agreed. I have had absolutely no problems at any of the events I've been to in the last year. Assuming Liquified does what is right and offers up refunds to people who got screwed - then all will be forgiven in my eyes. Devin and company have done a lot to bring talent into this city... but last night was a mass clusterfuck.

The main gripes I'm hearing about is the charging of 20bucks to cut in. I'd be willing to bet that that was by the ticket staff who is probably NATC staff and not Liquified related. That would be hard to control as that is just the NATC staff attempting to line their pockets.

I'd say Liquified mismanaged the show, yes. Especially considering the clusterfuck that happened last time. But for them to bear the brunt of the blame when it was clearly the NATC staff and incensed and inebriated throng of people is just miiiildly unjust.

And for the record, name some other Liquified shows that went badly (Caution Bipolar excluded for flipping out at Wetbar as that was a Wetbar issue).

From that moment on, I could feel the magik flowing through my veins while listening to the music that Tijs carefully samples and produces. His creativity allows him to develop the concepts of songs that bring life and energy to people around the world.

A friend just did some research on booking at the NATC and then posted this.

The "Tiesto Tragedy" last night was NOT promoter Liquified's fault. The majority, if not all, of the problems stemmed from the security staff and facility management, which were most likely services provided by the facility as is stated under the facility rental page on the NATC website: "Professional management, maintenance, and security are on-site and available to help you plan and manage any type of function.

My guess is Devin is going after NATC, not the people who feel taken advantage of. Everyone calm down.

The buck stops at Liquified is the whole point though.

They chose the venue. Is it their fault the staff they were stuck with ended up being a bunch of corrupt, irresponsible assholes? You sure bet it is.

At the end of the day, Liquified chose this venue. Liquified organize the event.

This was a huge disaster, and they need to man up and take responsibility. Liquified could of done so many things to alleviate the situation, but they didn't. And if they claim they couldn't, that's a load of horseshit. Take ownership of your event.

And NATC is supposed to just get away scott free?

Devin rented $48,000 worth of lighting and sound to fill that place, not even mentioning Tiësto's $30,000 bill. The supposed $37,000 in tickets just dents the price of this thing for Liquified.

NATC most likely charged for the parking, and NATC handled the bullshit security.

Think with facts and logic, not emotions.

Confused Upset by bad situation but didn't let it ruin my good time!

I too had to stand in line for two hours. Parked across the street and managed to avoid paying $20 for parking. That pissed me off because I read online that parking was originally supposed to be $10 then to have it double! That is fucking crazy. I think that parking for U2 last week was about $20. I personally love Tiesto WAY WAY more than U2 but just trying to make a comparison.

Got to NATC at 11pm and did not get in the venue till 1am. I was so glad that Tiesto had not started playing yet. Got in line at bar (which was not nearly as long as last time Tiesto played at NATC)After that it was a good time had by all in my group. Yeah, the pepper sray incident sucked and my boyfriend got sick because of it and we ended up leaving early.

I totally understand how things could get out of control. What I can't understand is how Liquified learned NOTHING from last time. Same issues, different year.

As far as the music and the general vibe once inside....The music was awesome (love his new album) and the vibe was so alive! Soemtimes I feel like I am all alone in this love for trance and other EDM genres. Events like this, WMA, and other large-scale shows really make me feel like I am part of something much bigger. I have liked/loved a lot of different types of music over my lifetime and been to a lot of shows. TA's and fans of EDM have energy like nothing I have ever seen. Let's try and remember to stay positive and to have a good time dispite some really messed up stuff.

**To all those who where not able to get to the show I hope that Liquified sets things straight with you and you recieve a refund and even free tickets to a future show **

PLURR

I didn't go last night kid.

Emotions have nothing to do with my argument.

Liquified chose the venue. They have to live with their decision. If the staff at the venue was shitty, it's their fault. Most of these problems happened 2 years ago. Liquified didn't learn their mistake. They need to take responsibility.

And yes, I'm sure Liquified could of done something to help the problem. i.e., personally helping with admittance. Talking to the head of operations at NATC for the night about the disorderly conduct of their security.

Did they do ANYTHING? I haven't heard that they had.
