hmmm where do i start, i lost my place since there was so much flaming hehe.
| quote: | | [QUOTE]Originally posted by da_MynDLesS_one The difference is that this is not World War III we're talking about here. We're talking about a war between ants and humans. The americans can squash their Afghan opponents with the snap of a finger. So tell me, how is this like a war? It's a war on terrorism, not a war on Afghanistan, just like President Bush has repeated on national television time and again. If the Americans truly cared about civilian death, they would take precautions to ensure that it doesn't happen. They're the richest and most powerful damn country in the world, so don't tell me they can't figure out a way of avoiding the death of innocents. |
the us military tries VERY hard to prevent civilian deaths. i mean, i know that they aborted missions because they might kill a few innocents. also, the military is smart enough to not kill civilians not only because they are humans, but if anything, they try to prevent killing in order to get public support. our bombs hit within 6 inches of a target like 95% of the time, which means about 5% miss the mark only. civilian death is a consequence of war, i dont see how anyone can dispute THAT, but i think that the U.S. is executing theire minimalization (i guess heh) plan very well. not meaning to flame, but have u ever gotten a 100% on an AP/SAT/IB/whatever big standards test at school? well, all im saying is that very few things can be perfect in this world (armin proved that with sunburn )
in addition, when we actually do kill civilans, we apologize and investigate like hell. personally, i think itd be AWESOME if some politican got kicked in the shins for every home destoryed and in the balls for every innocent person, 2x for a woman/child. seriously! and an apology. in sharp contrast, look at hamas and islam gihad (sp?). they dont get sterilzed by an extreme kick in the pants. they are basked in roses/money and they are more famous than carson daly over here in the states. that is what the US is fighting against...people (monsters, whatever term u like) who dont care about innocent lives. in case you are wondering, i do support a palestinian state. but i feel that it shold be a war of words, not a real military sort of war
well, i guess my point from all of this is that the US is deeply troubled by civilian casualties and goes after those who are not troubled by them. thanks for listening..and sorry about any nonsesne that i have posted
