anyway, i admire them trying to fuse the BM vibe into deep house. it DONT work. they will fail. theres a reason their sound camp was way out by the trash fence. people are too happy there with too little attention span for underground house.

What the fuck would we do without stevesto dropping straight fuckin knowledge 24/7

yea, whenever they have parties. it's very cool but since i live in the upper east side, and i don't have a car, it takes me a while to go so unless jamie jones, no regular play or someone along those lines is playing i don't go, haha.

maybe i'll move to brooklyn next year but i doubt it. i love me city!

Ha, it turns out Lee Foss is also playing in Leeds on the same night. What a pleasant dilemma.

Just for the record, I hate wine and have never done blow. A+ for effort, though. Keep on trying.

stevo, not sure what the problem is with being a hipster...?

i don't shop at vintage stores in the village, don't wear skinny jeans and retro clothes, don't listen to indie music (although some of it is good), don't live in brooklyn, don't drink wine regularly, although when i do i thoroughly enjoy it, don't do blow (although i didn't know that was a hipster stereotype) honestly most of them are so broke they can't afford it.

having said that, i fucking love wolf + lamb's releases and fully support them as well as labels like crosstown rebels.

i have a LOT of friends living in Williamsburg, park slope and the area and i guess they may come across as elitist pricks but i can assure you that after 5 minutes of talking to them you will realize your perception is completely biased by common wisdom. in any case, the parties in brooklyn are becoming more and more commercialized that it's not really hip anymore so don't worry, your wishes are coming to reality.

JPlay, FYI you're explaining yourself to someone who once said that wiimotes were the future of deejaying.

i pretty much love all the things i described. i am a big wine drinker. i like disassociative adrenaline mental states (when you force yourself to be awake for a long time, adrenaline kicks in). i like acting snobby and important, its fun. but thats me playing a certain character for one night (im the total opposite normally), i dont want to do that every weekend. zealoutry is the root of a lot of problems. the other thing is, that whole scene got old real quick; theres a lot of great aspects to clubbing that is missing from it. it doesnt have enough catharsis or cacophonic elements for my personal tastes. but i still like that style of clubbing once in a while. anyway, you have to be able to make fun of yourself before you start making fun of others.

and it didn't help that he just sat down behind the decks at afters and curled up in a fetal position after putting on a record.

what can you expect from a group that makes their name on ripping off old disco tracks then slapping their name on it and charging $2.49/track on beatport? I'm all for white labels/bootlegs/remixing but when you take the main component of a track, put a drum beat behind it, then call it your own and have the fucking audacity to release it digitally and charge full price for it you deserve to be owned up the ass in my opinion. wolf + lamb is the the first label I've actively boycotted for this reason. what they've done with that stevie wonder edit is fucking shameful, I hope lawyers crawl so far up their asses they're never able to pay off their debt.

nothing like white guys stealing black music, history repeating itself I guess.

It's pretty stupid to just assume things, without any actual proof.
