ps...both cities are just so different that comparing them is ridiculous.
due to Toronto being a bigger city, there are more events.
due to festivals like Piknic, Mutek, Igloofest and so on i would say that mtl has more cutting edge bookings. It also gets the edge in intimate venues with a good vibe, although most of these bookings are done during the week.
Our afters are not what they used to be. Stereo has become a beautiful club, but lets face it...the bookings are stuck in the past or irrelevant.
Since Louis joined the Circus team, the club has improved drastically booking wise, it just isn't the type of music I like.
Toronto wins for big parties. Montreal massives suck, and guv brings in better names than any of the massives. Even without sketchy asians, the bookings for massives just fail hard here, minus maybe Black And Blue.
As far as Trance, i would not know because... well trance is garbage.
