What a great night (and for trance two Friday nights in a row, the first one being last week at Pacha, of course, the better night). Had wanted to check out Nokia, since VNV Nation played there about a year ago or so, but was not able until now. Was very impressed: security proffessional, LARGE and spacious dance floor chill out areas, plenty of bathrooms. Did not do coat check, but I sympathatize with those all who had trouble, on account of it being such a cold night, and thus, people were going to dress warmly, which meant that it was going to be a necessity to have coat check.
I know some people did not like Dahlback, but I though his set was decent. Along with Jason, great job as always, of course, it helped build up the night the night for me. So much so, that I just ended up dancing as much to them, as I did with Ferry! Jason, again, great set
So great to see Ferry again! Great to hear "Beautuful" and "Fire" again, but, as many of you have guessed already, it was aboslute trance euphoria when he dropped "Catch" I had been unable to hear his mix live...and I had room to dance to it, like I have always wanted too And, of course, the TA shout out was just the icing the night needed!!
One thing that really bothered me was the taking away of glowsticks thing; I also symphatize with those that had that problem. I too believe that glosticks and photons, etc should not be malinged and associated necessarily with drug use or whatever. I don't use drugs, and I like to use glosticks/see them being used whenever possible, be it at trance or other parties. I had wanted to bring a pair, and, in fact, bought a couple on Thursday, but then rememebered "Oh, wait, Made Event..." Well, at least I will have a spares, lol.
Great night, overall, and I hope that alot more of our favorite DJ's will start to increasingly play here, than at Pacha...
