Look guys,
American Trance is really just BT, D:Fuse, Christopher Lawrence, Sandra Collins, and George Acosta.
And I only rank BT of all of those guys, although D:Fuse has a chance of becoming good. The other 3 are just lacking the caliber, the quality of set contruction (and production) for me to consider them something worthwhile. I know they try, but they're either too bland or too amateur for my taste
The real problem is that its just too new here. There isn't much of a scene as-of-yet. Give it time. There's too big of a following for it not to happen.

This is ridiculous. What about JOSH GABRIEL???? Are you people stupid, ignorant, deaf or something? Josh Gabriel is the ONLY American right now who's up to Euro standards. Hmmm, Tiesto's ISOS3 has not just one but THREE of his remixes. And not to mention Andain-Summer Calling.

I agree with you!
Quality Trance could never be produced here in America, because the people here are different, and the culture is different too!
Trance is European music, and it's about European culture... |
This is stupid, why couldn't quality trance be produced in the US ?
because of different cultures you say ?
There are many different cultures in the US, it's all about a mix of different cultures, and, you should know know that there is not a single one culture in Europe, cultures here are different in each country, so please don't make generalizations by saying there's only one European culture...
And talking about Trance producers in Europe, we generally only hear about British, Belgian, Dutch, German, Swiss, Italy or some Scandinavian countries...that doesn't quite sums up whole Europe, only half of it

Yes you're fucking arrogant, you could even be considered as a stereo-typical arrogant American, even though you're from Canada...
not cool for you to be assimilated as an American, uh ?
As some others said, please not stupid patriotism in this thread..
why all threads on TA involving the USA have to turn into a war against the USA ??
Like that idiot who started it a few pages ago, saying something like "trance sucks in the USA...why ? look at their fucking government !"
whatever.... |
whaaaaat? ok, i'm really NOT trying to start a war over u.s. vs any country but wtf...
first you degrade fantom by calling him a "stereotypical arrogant american" knowing he is canadian and even go on top of that by saying "not cool for you to be assimilated as an american, uh"
i could sterotype just like you by saying "well, he is ovbiously french because of his rudeness and lack of reserve" but i don't, because most intelligent people don't stereotype others...and secondly, if people start to flame war, it is because of people like you who make ridiculous comments that offends people.
don't make generalizations about americans and then put down people to be "assimilated" with them on top of it and not expect some americans to get offended...just a suggestion

I completely agree that euro productions are 15 times better. I am from america and i have heard every american dj mentioned. D fuse is a bad ass. He was with oakenfold at this place called the redzone and he tore oakie's ass to pieces. But still everyone listens to eminem and nelly. DJ Micro is really good at his mixing and getting the crowd going which i thiink are a dj 's main job. His Tracklisting from this set on the 4th of july had good tracks in it like Lange feat. Skye - Drifting Away And Marc Aurel the sun. I really like Tiesto Ferry and Armin. And honestly i Think MIcro does too. He puts out cd's that match especially Ferry. Just about 6 to 8 months later. I would have never knew about the good trance if it wasn''t for micro or christopher lawrence. They are both awesome. I know trance is the thiinng over there but it isn't here at all. I push it on everyone though and i do my best to get it out there. I wish i could make it the same here i think about it all the time. The djs have mad skill. Its a different scene. House and hardhouse rule here. But our hardhouse is completely different here. The Dj here scratch alot and play songs for a much shorter time. The average tiesto track plays for 4 to 6 minutes. The Average Track here is like 3 minutes. Alot more creativity with mixing and the tables here. If Micro Played at sensation or in Ibiza or anywhere the crowd would love him. If Badboy Bill Played they would love him. Richard humpty vision isn't trance but he has done alot of productions that are tight. Dave Aude is a bad ass. But i still agree with buying trance is like buying a car. But i also agree with eminem that in america nobody listens to techno. which in america is every genre of electronic music. Including trance. But seriously you cannot knock the djs here that have it alot tougher. They work a virgin crowd everyday. The djs there are sticking it in a bunch of trance sluts who have been taking it for years. Its a alot more difficult.
