Biggy, I'm not sure about prices for venues, but Molson Centre MUST be VERY expensive(add lot's of security, molson centre workers, cleaners etc etc etc). That probably explains the high ticket price. Besides, how many people does 514 have working for them? Working for such company is probably a full time job, yet their income only comes a few times a year. You are making less money, but every week. Do you expect them to make as much as you do, but only 5-6 times a year?

By the way, how much does Armin cost?

Durafei, you are off the mark. This isn't about loyalty and supporting a company thru hard times. We aren't turning our backs on anything, we are just deciding how we want to spend our entertainment dollar. Fact of the matter is, the competition in Montreal is cranking up and Sona is losing some of it's abilities to book that it had when no one was else was competing with them.

>People are so quick at turning their backs on companies who have >been bringing them great DJs for many years.
>Tiesto, Oakenfold, Digweed, Paul Van Dyk. All these and many more >DJs have been brought to Montreal by 514 first.
>And now, that 514 are not doing so well, people instead of >supporting, turn their backs on them.. how typical.

Anyway, Aria will be open that night and I am sure Stereo will be too. So if you are not ''HAPPY'' with Cream line-up, Aria will have something really interesting for you people on September 1st!

Dude you worry to much, who cares if TO gets an amazing weekend and beats mtl once in a while I'm sure we'll have great DJs that weekend, just sit back and relax Personnaly Armin will be here and that will do it for me. I don't wanna see 325325123 DJs in one night each for 1:30h. I leave it to Biggy and the rest of the Montreal scene to bring the talent over here...

its true why worry. I mean besides whats good about comparing our scene to TO? its totaly different man.
You see them going crazy of some progressive shit while we have the techno nites so hard that takes u 3days to recover from.
Besides the city is going great imo, check out rank-1, marco v, armin, ferry, guy, comon u have all of those till end of this year and even more.
I know cream is really unlikely successful this year but look at it that way there will be lots of people looking forward to it.Its part of them as Happy said.
There are lots of "ravers" in quebec man, so expect to see lots more.
