The whole premise of marrying into their "own kind" is bullshit though. If being jewish was a true race, they would all look like arabs. The point is they interbred and others converted and they converted others. If my sister were to marry a jewish man and she would convert to judaism, you cannot claim that she would be a jew by race, by religion yes. It would only be her offspring that would show any kind of markers from the paternal side, thus the maternal "jewish" lineage is lost in the offspring. If she were to have a daughter who married a man who was not jewish, the lineage would be completely lost as her daughter does not carry a Y chromosome.
Regardless the whole premise of race is lost once you start to have muts (which is why i am scheptical about being pure egyptian due to so many conquests of egypt). You essentially have a mixture of several races all proclaiming to be the same religion due to a social aspect of converting, not a biological one.
(edit, that stament above with regards to maternal lineage i think needs to be passed on twice so she has a son who marries a non "jew" who has a daughter, since the father can give an X chromosome to the daughter).
Anyways, i the general thesis still works.
