Jesus you guys are overreacting. Some people like to have more control on what they release, if you have a problem with that, find another label. A lot of artists are stubborn, too up their own ass and think they're 'an artist', a talent who can do nothing wrong and whose decisions should not be questioned. Guys like for instance Rich from Solarstone (running Solaris recordings) have years and years of experience on the music industry and tons of musical talent, so when they want certain changes or adds to the track, they probably aren't doing that just to be a dick or to make it more mainstream. It is their Label after all and they just want to be 100% happy with every release they have.

It's always imporant to stay open minded and try out the suggestions and "demands" they give you. If you seriously don't think it's a good idea after trying it, then refuse to do it and if that's not okey with them find another label.

At 1st it seems strange but at the end of the day what is important to you right now? If this gets that snowball rolling then go with it. It doesnt mean all your future signings will have a request to change something. So if it works out well then you'll be glad you did go with this change.

If you prefer to keep your work as it is and that is more important to you then refuse.

Haha you can't do that

When you sign a track, you don't just sign one mix of it, but all the existing and all the future mixes, official or not.
