Oh it means absolutely nothing when looking at Deadmau5 or other tracks. But often times I've made a remix for someone and they usually want 44.1kHz, but once in a blue moon they want 48kHz. Also Logic Pro used to default to 48kHz all the time, and I always bounce a copy into iTunes. This way I can see if it was 48kHz so I can cuss at my computer with epithets, then go back and rebounce at 44.1kHz.

Plus I'm VERY anal (no pun intended) retentive and I *LOVE* numbers.
