im kinda disappoined by opiums bookings so far this year. they ended last year so strong but so far this year there hasnt been much. mostly just shit at set on sundays.

No doubt musically their bookings have gone down this year. But when it comes to the Noc space, I just cannot see anyone else stepping in that could possibly compete with Space on any level ...

1. Opium Group isn't at all interested in opening Downtown. They were there once before, (The Living Room Downtown), and they didn't do well. They'll tell you themselves, it's just not what they do.

2. Nocturnal filed the most ridiculous bankruptcy paperwork ever. They claim that the place is worth $7m and the foreclosure was only for $5.4m. They also owe $86k in property tax, $150k to their contractor.

3. They had their water meter removed and couldn't pay the bill, so they hotwired the water and got caught.....twice.

4. According to the bankruptcy paperwork, they have no bank account, no cash and no assets of any kind.

Impressive!
