I'm on the hunt for a very specific sample, couldn't find it yet. Probably need to buy a Roland JV 2080 to get my hands on the sample I'm looking for. Other than that, during my search I came across this archive of no longer sold oldschool sample packs. Many gigabytes of samples.
If less is more think about how much more more would be.

Hi all!
Haven't been around for a while, and Storyteller's post had me thinking. Might seem funny but I've been digging sort of recently for crappy old early digital rompler sounds and kitchy old sound fonts, general midi and stuff y'know. Probably not exactly trance related, but I've been diving into plunderphonics and vaporwave stuff for a while and really enjoy a lot of these old sounds that bring up old memories etc..
Anyway the point is there's Nils' Kv1 emulation of the Kawai K1 which I think is great. It's been around for a little while but is free so worth checking out if this kind of thing appeals you.
Free emulators of Nord Rack 2x, Virus a/b/c, Virus TI, JP8000 and more.
These guys have reverse engineered the chips and circuits into the VST. it's quite remarkable.
You do need to find the firmware online to load into the VST, otherwise it will not run.
