Imho just as bad or even worse than the deny-everything-idiots.

To think that's worse is itself painful.

I don't know all there is to know about climate change because there's too much information available nowadays in any given subject. Though I do try to have as much an educated guess as possible, I do have to trust people I don't know but whose methodology I know is better than the one used by naysayers.

So, in this sense, parroting what serious scientists say is way way better than denouncing something you barely understand (so far, I've never seen anyone but people who have no relationship whatsoever to climate studies complain about it).

I'm not talking about people believing scientists. I'm talking about people believing media shit like "let's all turn off the light for one hour" or letting politicians get through with any tax or regulation that allegedly saves the planet. Believing the scientists is fine, I do it myself.

And Bas, a cat would never share its popcorn.

Are you retarded? We know that life will persist “easily” within a 10 degree fluctuation when that 10 degree fluctuation is achieved over millions of years. If we achieved a 10 degree increase in mean temps over a couple of months, eco systems everywhere would be destroyed. Guess what? We rely on eco systems.

It's hard to take the media seriously, I give you that

Whether or not you believe CO2 emissions have a direct result in climate change, there is no denying that the recent (last 50 years) increases in CO2 emissions has caused the pH level to decrease in the ocean which destroys marine life and eco-systems.

This is fact and cannot be disputed through disbelief.

Also, the technologies that emit CO2 cause pollution on unprecedented levels. There's no denying that we would have a healthier world by investing in cleaner technologies. The air quality is only getting worse and it does affect our biological systems, especially infants in their development and pregnant mothers.

Climate change will always have its cynics, but I think the discussion should move to topics concerning how our technologies are really affecting the planet. I personally think climate change is a waste of time because the disbelief and politics poisons the debate.

I think it's simple; our current way of doing things is unsustainable. If you disagree, I would love to hear your input concerning topics like trash, acidification of the ocean, air quality, etc.

Oh, one last thing, if you really think that the increase in CO2 emissions has no adverse affect on the planet, you probably failed high school chemistry and don't know shit science.

Oh, you brainiacs and your facts! Science is worthless, I trust my gut! And my gut feeling says we need to make more money and ignore these lying nerds!

And my gut feeling also says I want more strawberry cake. On a SUV. Felling trees.

And i guess you're the genius who thinks that we can actually raise the earth's temperature by 10 degrees in a couple of months lol.

Why don't you throw a couple of meteors on teh earth while your at it as well; as if the KT extinction wasn't a prime example of the veracity of life.

Lets just look at carbon emissions for a second to humor you:

compared to where we are below

im pretty sure life persisted 500 million years ago and carbon levels were unimaginably higher.

The point is that carbon emissions are not a simple linear correlation to temperature. The idea that we could actually increase the temperature of the earth by over 10 degrees is ludicrous. And if that were the case, im sure it would be irrespective of anthropomorphic carbon emissions.

I figured I wouldn’t have to explain that comment, but apparently you’re fucking thick.

It's odd that i'm even having this conversation with you, the guy who is all anti conspiracy theory, now taking about raising the mean temperature of earth by 10 degrees with these levels of carbon emissions.

Irony at its best.

Yeah, your idiocy and inability to read sure is funny. I mentioned 10 degrees because that’s the example you used. Moron.
