Unless on his CLR Podcast, I wouldn't count on it. I don't recall it being on the Sirius broadcast list.

Super8 & Tab played a very predictable but extremely enjoyable set, 8/10
Arty started extremely strong and awesome, then went way downhill after about the 50 minute mark, 6/10
Guy Gerber was awesome, first time I saw him and he did an awesome job, 8/10
Chris Liebing started out very good but eventually it was way too monotonous for my taste. I've seen him many times and although it's always banging, once it hit the 40 minute mark, the monotonousness of yesterday's tunes actually started to bug me out. I ended up leaving, and coming back for his last 10 minutes, which seemed like he turned the ship around, 6/10
Gui Boratto was awesome, it was my first time seeing him, so I can't grade him compared to other times, but I absolutely loved every song he played, he took me over the moon, 10/10
EDX was an extremely pleasant surprise for the short time that I caught his set, 8/10
Gabriel & Dresden are not Gabriel & Dresden anymore, 4/10
Infected Mushroom, always awesome, 9/10
Armin van Buuren played a high-energy set but at times very un-AvB-ish. I'll give him a semi-high score because of how well he played to the crowd at that particular time and place. A lot of people needed that (and not an uber-trance set), 8/10

now i hate to be a negative, but here's something that really really pissed me off (listen up made event)
why the hell was the volume soooooo low in the begining of the day for the trance guys?...on sat for zack, mat zo and the first half of sean and simon it was very low, yesterday for super 8 and tab it was the same thing and that tent was pretty packed when they were on, but meanwhile sunday school tent the volume was loud all day long..def something you should look into next year, just cause its early on dont mean its right to keep the volume that low, we didnt pay money to hear low music...come on guys
and another thing i felt next year all 3 tents should be the same size...no need to keep switching it around with line-up's/day's in order to fit everyone
|
I noticed that as well. it was the same for the main stage, actually too -- BT and Max Vangelli's set(s) were a lot quieter than the shows later on.
It was great that Hilltop was bigger, but yeah, Sunday School and Riverside needed to be bigger too. And I think the placement of sunday school was better last year. this way, you can make riverside bigger, and put hilltop (same size as this year) where sunday school was.
there were still times during the day sets that i could hear other tents. it wasn't bad, and not often, but anytime there was a "quiet" part in riverside, i could hear hilltop. and likewise, i could hear sunday in hilltop.
Gotta say, too, the VIP section looked really out of place. I'm not complaining (i didn't have VIP, so it was great for me), but those poor people looked so bored, and it looked half empty most of the time. the past two years, wasn't the VIP much closer to the main stage? (again, not complaining, it was greart for us General folk this year).
All in all, a fantastic event. Each year has had it's pros and cons and each year is a little different music-wise; so they all stick out but I think this year was the best.
but still...needs more trantz!

Mat Zo was pretty good, not amazing, but I hold him to a high standard based on his long 5-page list of incredible productions. Unfortunately, he doesn't (and can't possible) play them all, but gets into some electro festival stuff, 7/10
Guti (live), very fun stuff for the short time I was in there, 7/10
Sean Tyas/Simon Patterson, exactly what I needed to restore my hope in trance DJs playing trance music, kind of wish they were on later though, 9/10
Sidney Samson, hell no, 3/10
Steve Bug started off very strong but dipped down a bit, 7/10
Andy Moor, not my favorite set by him, just lacked originality and sounded a bit generic. I hold him to a high standard though, so in the end, his set was better than a lot of other guys' sets, 7/10
Above & Beyond, incredible set, they take #1 for the entire weekend, in my opinion, 10/10
Reboot rounds out the top 3 sets, absolutely blew my mind. If anyone knows what the closing song was, please let me know (lyrics go, "Isn't it soooo hard?, etc." and was layered over some amazing piano chords), 10/10
Danny Tenaglia did an awesome job picking up where Reboot left him at, exactly what I expected from him, and more, 9.5/10

armin killed it. his set was way more ibiza-ish than ultra or any of the asot 500s. he FINALLY got rid of kernkraft 400. that beautiful things remix he played was incredible. and brute WOW, when ferry played it too the crowd just went nuts which is amazing considering 95% of the people in the crowd had never heard the song before.
loved hearing koko dropped over and over
best sets were arty, guetta, armin.....afrojack blew after the first 20 minutes. hardwell crushed it he had the crowd going nuts the entire time.
this was my first electric zoo and i'd say it was MUCH better than ultra. not nearly as crowded when u were in the middle of the crowds, a much better overall crowd, and better sets.

wtf? was Simon not there?
actually... yea i heard he was... bet he lost his music or something |
He couldn't get his hard drive working, so they played off of Sean's stuff.
Got there just when Zack was getting off, unfortunately. Matt Zo was really good as were Sean and Simon. Caught a little of Holden's set and he was pretty spot on.
Sander van Doorn was great. But I was really disappointed with Digweed. I was so excited to see what he would do with a brief set, but he really didn't do anything. I don't know if it was the weird set time or what, but as soon as Sander ended, half the main stage crowd seemed to disappear, like mass exodus and there was zero energy for 3/4 of his set. I think he's better suited for the Sunday School tent.
Dirty South was a bit of a surprise. Lots of energy and some decent tracks. Guy knows how to work a room.
I don't get nor will I ever get Dubstep or Dutch House and have no clue how both ever got so popular. Skrillex is a joke, just a bunch of angry frat guys banging their heads up and down. Would have liked to have checked out some more techno acts but it just didn't happen. There's always next year.
All in all a fun day. Hats off to Made for putting this together. Yeah the prices are steep, but they don't skimp on anything. The Hilltop setup was really cool, tons of food, lots of bathrooms and getting in and out of the venue was pretty painless.
