So, how long, Kamil, until you're prefacing personal anecdotes with the phrase, back in my day?

Seriously, you do act like a kid and I don't really have a problem with adults who are child-like unless they're confounded with adult resentments. Then, they're just obnoxious.

WOW in the 90's and early 00's were amazing. Warren's 1995 essential mix was unforgettable. Thanks to him, I discovered this track:

I might be a revisionist, but '95 was impeccable.

I think like most people's music tastes, everyone's here has been shaped during their younger days, and it is more difficult to be open to new styles or changes later on.

I doubt Led zeppelin fans would get down with 80's synth pop, or 80's synth pop would get down with trance, etc.
The music that appealed to us back then won't come back as it were, music has it's cycles, and genres will be recycled and will be added a few present cliches, but it won't be THAT THING again.

It's for our own pleasure that we need to be open to new material, a good way to open up to it is going to a party where you'll have good experience from, or some kind of related activity that will leave you with good memories, that's how it works for me anyways.

I'm finding progressive tracks from the past 3 years that have all been quality, breaking away from the sub-standard anjunadeep sound (Although I have liked some anjunadeep releases myself). Can't really speak for trance but as a proghead, times are goooood.

It's gotten easier and easier to learn music theory and acquire tools to make music. I therefore think more people should be making music, since it's so easier to do it nowadays.

Instead of being so bitter and claiming that music is getting worse, do something about this "problem", make some music of your own. I'm doing it. Why shouldn't you?
