He said O'Bir, not O'Callaghan.

LITERALLY.

Also Redd, it's a fucking PVD album. Of course it's going to get lots of attention.

The interviewer asks him how he feels like playing at Trance Energy for the first time. PvD goes on and says that he doesn't only play trance but electronic music in general and that he want's to show people not only the usual vocal nonsense. And since Trance Energy have a reputation to cater to the main stream audience and often have commercial DJs such as Johan Gielen and Rank1 it's not too hard to assume that he is refering to Trance Energy in general and the usual DJs that plays there in particular. And since he is producing the same vocal garbage that he is criticizing is quite amusing. Even a vocal trance fan as you gotta admit it.

It is indeed, was looking for a reasonable explanation for it though. Never really liked any of PvD's works anyways, he seems like a real douche as well.

Been asking myself the same question for years now. Pot calling the kettle black.

i concur fully. I used to be an avid PVD fan going to every UK listing from 2002 > 2006 then he started producing some really homoerotic male vocal pap, his sets of this period however remained true and strong. But This evolution has no real tracks that WOW'd me and Dae Yor - its a good track which feels close to his older productions but sounds very familiar and you know why it feels so familiar? Because its nothing more than rehashed tunes.

I still may go and see him in Germany next month, but we will see. Your more likely to see me at a techno event these days as techno's never really gotten bland like 'trance' or this eurocommercial stuff PVD's peddling.
