I'm taking both Valium and Vicodin right now but I am still fucking pissed that my gun rights are in jeopardy because of it.

I can barely contain my unmitigated rage without donning BDU and shining up my Mossberg 590a1 with gun oil after a three hour long session of reload practice!

that makes perfect sense from a secular perspective. I'm glad you think that way. you know this society is messed up when it promotes the idea that kindness is a weakness and you have to get even with pointless comebacks and insults.

Between 2004 and 2011, there have been over 11,000 reports to the U.S. FDA’s MedWatch system of psychiatric drug side effects related to violence. These include 300 cases of homicide, nearly 3,000 cases of mania and over 7,000 cases of aggression. (Note: By the FDA’s own admission, only 1-10% of side effects are ever reported to the FDA, so the actual number of side effects occurring are most certainly higher.)

This could be bullshit though. I just googled medicine and violence.

I'd rather that provision be in the law than not, personally.

Although the drug laws in our country can be quite fucked up, I doubt those sorts of drugs would interfere with a gun permit.

My dad has prescriptions for both of those and more, and holds an FFL.

It has to have more to do with people who take antipsychotics that would be at severe risk of a break were they to suddenly go off their medication.

Valium should absolutely be considered. It's used to treat people with panic disorders. I wouldn't exactly want someone prone to panic attacks to own a handgun.

I think the tendency is to find a scapegoat for incomprehensible violence rather than understanding the cause. If it's not Grand Theft Auto or Marylin Manson then Zoloft must be to blame. It's stupid.
