The ban does seem a bit excessive. The stuff he posts makes me , but he truly does think he's some sort of messiah. I for one enjoy his ridiculous comments and sometimes wonder if it's all a joke(it isn't, I know.)

ya that was uncalled for. DA's death was very sad. He was very harmless and a genuinely nice guy no matter how awkward he came across.
The first time he met me, he had spotted me inside the guvernment he was at the bar. He spotted me ordered double of what he was drinking and brought it over to me to say hi. He was that sort of guy. Very well mannered and was just happy to be out and meeting new people.
It was a sad day when he did what he did. Things must have been very tough for him because he seemed to come from a very loving family. It was really nice that all the florida ta's showed up for his funeral and paid their respects to his family. His family was so happy to see he had so many friends. They had no clue he was a part of a really cool community of genuinely nice people that was once ta.

To be fair, creating a case from a quote from another thread is unnecessary. The sarcasm itself is unwarranted given the banned user cannot respond to such provocation, because, in a way, that's what this is.
It's much like high school when a kid goes off talking purposely about another who just got suspended taking advantage of his absence. But then again, most of the collective behavior here never did really go beyond high school.
