For me it would have to be paul van dyk live at colourfest Glasgow in 2006 ...I remember loading that on my ipod nano and spending the walks to school just completely mesmerized ...

Paul suffered a freak accident awhile back after he fell off a stage, luckily none of his critical organs were hurt but he had to learn to walk again and was on hiatus forawhile luckily hes back in action today doing what he loves

on a side note: dave angel has such a great taste. "paul hazel - test pattern" is sick, nice to discover it. I wouldn't call a crime to classify it as trance, though

I have both of those Paul Hazel records, great stuff. So many good records on Rotation and from Dave Angel anyways. For whatever reason he's never gotten the place in the techno hall of fame he deserves. Maybe his records were always too jazzy for the average techno punter.

I'm not sure about new tunes, but there are a few DJs still doing retro sets playing a lot of those old tunes. I remember seeing Joey Beltram and Dave Clarke around 2014. The night finished with an unknown resident DJ who arrived with a big box of vinyl and played a set of the most brutal music I've ever heard in a club. It was quite horrible actually. Just pure audio violence.

We don't really have retro nights for that kind of sound here in Germany but then again, the mid 90s hard purist sound was very much an UK thing with parties like Lost and The Orbit.

The Orbit was in Leeds, so you get retro nights playing this kind of stuff fairly regularly here, of which I've been to a couple. To be honest, I think a lot of those old tunes have dated terribly. Some of the ones in that Dave Angel set sound completely amateurish to me.

I gave you a fair chance and even defended you, but I don't see why interesting threads about music discussion like this should be instantly derailed into you talking constantly about yourself, your DJing and whatever random irrelevant shit is passing through your mind at a given moment. You had a week or two of posting fairly respectfully, but you're visibly slipping back into the same destructive posting patterns

Next time you go to therapy, I would recommend showing your doctor your entire posting history on TA under this account alone and see what his opinion is.

Agreed jesus christ this thread is a joke thanks to whoeevr this guy/gal is.

How can I set to ignore also cant deal with it

Click on the little "profile" button below his posts, and then on his profile there's an option near the bottom to add him to your Ignore list.

Not necessarily my absolute favorite, but as far as the most stomping goes, my pick would probably be Blu Peter's 97' EM. Stomping from start to finish, iirc.

this one, right? Although it is amazing and groovy as fuck, I don't think that it is even closer to the dave angel/dave clark as a "stomper mix", but who cares, it is great. And I'll not lie: when "meteor" kicked in I instantly paused it to search for the id lmao

I wrote a review of that track on Discogs years ago lol. Not sure if I heard the mixes you mentioned. Concerning the Blu Peter mix, perhaps groovy is more apt than stomping.
