Pioneer a good following like victor dinaire did with Timeless Trance and possibly pick up from where T3 left off and collaboratively start this trance scene in nyc. so before everyone starts bickering about chances or fliers or what not lets think about where this would actually go... and solely IMHO i dont think throwing parties at exit is the way to start it off. i mean its good exposure for bedroom djs who want to get heard but remember you are on a tranceaddict website dedicated to music...about 90% of the people on here DJ so everyone sending demos here and there doesnt really make it easy to pick a dj to spin. some of us have our djs who we have in mind but if a monthly thing does progress im sure everyone would get a chance...vice versa and that goes for anything...doing the flier the way u think it should look...comments and suggestions...thats why i bump my thread to hear what people think...and honestly i would of got opinions on the flier prior to getting it printed since you are using tranceaddict's name and if anyone should get a word on it..it should be swamper! and granted you didnt have enough time to get it complete...you should of asked if anyone wanted to whip up a flier from the boards...some people have more time than others its the truth

Maybe you have not read what I have stated from the start. I will repeat everything I have said in the past 2 weeks.

20 days ago, less then three weeks, Bob Goodrich came to us with a proposal. We had the chance to start doing sometihng with this room, but we had to do it quick. So in 4 days time we had to make a line up for a whole month. We weren't gonna throw below average DJ's in there, we have a fixed budget so we can afford to pay the DJ's; this will also allow us to bring in the better talent.

Me and Mike have been advocates of the party from the start; We were never promoters, nor did we have the desire to be. We have been on good terms with Bob for the past year; he made us an offer and it gave us the chance to bring some excitement back into a pretty defunct friday nightlife.

This flyer was done last tuesday. I do not see how that is last minute.

If it were up to us, we would care less how the list is doing as long as people come put and have a good time. Exit does not see it that way. It is a BUSINESS and the goal of a business is to make money. Their desire to make money overshadows their desire to throw sick parties; we are trying to balance the two elements. We are fortunate enough to be dealing with a promoter who feels the same way.

Bedroom DJ's ? Every one of our DJ's we have booked in the past two weeks has done main floor spots in various clubs around NYC and NJ.

We will continue to do so in the coming weeks.

and honestly i would of got opinions on the flier prior to getting it printed since you are using tranceaddict's name and if anyone should get a word on it..

I beleive we have said on SEVERAL OCCASIONS the flier was not going to be printed. We reach a large community on the internet, we don't really need to print then right now.

I cannot believe this whole issue stems from the simple neglection of a ".com" . The flier looks nice and serves its purpose. Aside from me not putting "www.djxphactor.com" under X's name, there was nothing wrong with it. Neither Mike Bugout nor X Phactor told me his site needed to be under his name; if you notice the listings under the names are of venues and radio stations where the DJ's can be heard, not their own personal websites. Bugout told me to put X phactors site under his name when I was on my way to long island, two hours away from my home and two hours away from the source file.

Lack of communication was the mistake;people want to do things on their time and when it is convienent for them; If i cannot get hold of people and a flier needs to be made, it is going ot be made to the best of my ability with the best info I have. When something needs to be corrected, people want it done on the spot, regardless of how much other work I have and regardless of how many times I tried calling, emailing, and PMing to obtain this info. If people can nopt compromise, then there is little I can do. We are all busy.I speak to tek almost every other day on IM, he had no problem giving me some info.

Any how, what started as a positive thing is seemingly turning to shit. I was very excited for this night; hopefully this nonsense will not ruin the mood.

By all means Im sorry for the negativity in my comments, I understand that the "behind the scenes" partying isnt as easy as just attending one. I know alot of thought and effort goes into throwing these events. I was just stating some opinions and suggestions for future experiences. My thread dug somewhere below shows that i want the comments and the criticism...helps me get an idea of what people think such that i wont have a party geared only around my own style. i mean amongst finding DJs which i know almost everyone on these boards are, there goes alot of thought and preparation into it. Just trying to give my view on the whole TA night thing...and yea its a great thing to get things rolling like this. and if you need any help on whatever it may be do not hesitate to ask cuz alot of us, and yourself, have experience in throwing parties so we'll definitely help out whether it be flier design, connection to cheap printing places, club connects, any variable to the nightlife scene im sure someone could give some insight.

see...this is why I like this board...

we had some drama, and it got resolved. It took 6 pages, but it got done. If this were any other board, we'd be on page 12 by now still arguing and fussing.

Just remember we all got one thing in common here. Our love for trance muzil--so friday lets fire it up!!!!!!!!
