from my understanding, all anti-depressents release a drug in ur mody known as Seratonin. The higher the amount of a anti-D, the more seratonin is released. It doesn't exactly make u "high" but it alters u into a passive mood. I have the maximum amount of paxil for my age and ever since i started paxil, i just feel great. I never get TOO mad, but also not TOO happy either.
Prozac never worked for me, but i'm not one to recommend

thanks for the feedback. About the vomiting, i'm pretty sure it was due to the high anxiety i had in the morning. I think people with similar conditions as me all suffer somewhat from nausea and diahreah.
Presently, i never told my doctor, but i've somehow learned to vomit on command. sick, but just don't tell it to my honeyz

I have some more questions.
Why is it that some drugs work for some people but not for others?
How long did you take prozac before you started taking paxil?
Over what time period did you realize that the drug was working, and how did you realize it? I mean did you just wake up one morning and boom you fealt great and that feelings has not gotten rotten since?

everybody has a different chemistry in their body. Just because paxil works with me, doesn't mean it works with everybody. Sometimes there are side affects, not enough dosoge, or sometimes it's just the body won't react to it.
I took prozac for about 3 weeks and i just didn't feel anything happening to me. I remember being in the hospital and seeing other prozac takers be the life of the party. but i guess it wasn't for my body
From my experience, it took about 5 days to start controlling my mood swings. I've been through many events since the started taking paxil, bad and good, but it never brings me down to an almost permanent depression. I still get depressed some days, but it takes the paxil to make sure i don't "overdo" it.

in the morning i take a pill called Cogentine. More on it later...In the evening, i take another Cogentine. Right before i sleep i take a drug called Risperdal, it is supposed to help me sleep better. I'm not an insomniac, but i sure as hell can stay awake for a long time, usually scratching my head and making hand puppets . I have to take a drug to counteract the side affects (this drug is cogentine). It affects me so that my muscles in my mouth get real tight and i can't stop "smiling". I also take Paxil (60mg). I take it before i sleep because it takes a while before the Seratonine released. So by the time i am awake, i am filled with seratonine

paxil is fucked up. Ive known 4 people who have gone shit nuts off that stuff and we had to call in people to take the meds away from them and have doctors counsel them and shit. One of my friends was thrown into the mental ward for a couple of weeks and he was in a straight jacket and got shots and shit. Id stay away form that stuff like the plague.

Be Cool!

Ok so u know how your body adapts like crazy to your internal and external environment right ? what happends when u stop taking the pilss man ? i mean i stopped drinking and i went thru withdral. I stoped sleeping with marry J and i went thru withdawl. Even when i stop taking pheds i whent thru witdrawl and that suxed ass. SO like im gueessing it would be wayyyy bad for someone to stop anti depresants. Or is like a 5 step program of difrent drugs to get u off. Just wondering cuz i know some people who are on meds and I can see blatent changes in there personality that sux ass, i know there dependant on them and they dont have a will of there own when it comes to living sober.
