No, it wouldn't be phenomenal, cuz we've heard those zillion times by now...

Bro, you are in the wrong thread, so for your own sake, get the hell out of here and go find out some more about "progressive trance", and trance genres in general...

That's because Tiesto keeps on dropping these fucken cheesy euro/poppy trance tunes in his sets, it just doesn't have the same effect as it did 2-3 years ago. It sounds... CHEESY! And I can't experience that "journey" with CHEESY selection of songs. But he is still one of the best DJs technically, I'll give him that.

Oh yeah, and that PVD comment, he tends to get cheesy too, but not all the time... still, his mixing is superb!

i dunno man... see, the problem nowadays is that people seem to classify every decent tune as "cheese"... the thing is though that its become cool to flame every dj that makes it big, as it was cool to flame oakie back in '01 ... i've seen him every time he's been here in toronto since his debut in feb 2000, and i have yet to hear him play a cheesy track...

Oakie has never played a cheesy track

He ended with Dumonde - Tomorrow at the BLC.

Explain that.

Holy fuck this makes me laugh. WRONG. People have different music tastes and people like you are too ignorant to acknowledge that someone could enjoy something other than what you like.

And I'm supposed to get Tiesto from that?

Tiesto played "the opera song" at KH.

Explain that.

yea, ok, i'm wrong... please venture out into the music discussions forums and browse the countless flame threads of djs that made it big... its people like them that, AND people that jump on the flame bandwagon, that are ignorant

Well, then I guess you're more into that cheesy trance than I am... because in every single set I've heard from Tiesto in the last 6 months (including that performance at KoolHaus) I've heard at least 5-6 tracks that were just pure cheese and made me just go "WTF?!"... Don't get me wrong, I've just heard his Magik 6 album a few hundred times this week (I brought it back to life), and I couldn't find a single cheesy track in that compilation, and you know that was made like 3 years ago. Something's wrong with that guy, I dunno what it is, but he's not the same...

I guess he just doesn't try that hard now that he is Numero Uno! I guess this whole fame and popularity hit him in the head, took its toll (just as it did with Oakie)...

P.S. Andre (REALSPACEMAN), I now realize how right you were when you said that thing about Tiesto.
