hm. i have a lot to say.
1) i dont think raven has established that oakie is that much different in terms of laziness in playlists, just because you showed two pvd sets. plus, pvd is the king anyways. look at tiesto's sets. im really starting to get sick of david forbes, riva and m.i.k.e.
look even at his magik 7 playlist? that's all a bunch of OLD tracks.

2) i envy all you guys too... im in vancouver AND underage, so its real tough to get out to see these huge names. everyone else, ferry to tiesto to pvd, they're all awesome guys

3) according to a friend of mine, who's a big dj in miami (res. las vegas)... sasha's an asshole. ive heard other stories too... pvd shrugging is just being cool, he has that demeanor but supposedly sasha is the only big asshole dj out there.

4) pvd trainwrecks in the video mayday 2000 (and also uses the x-fader blatantly) ...... maybe that's laziness?
but then again having those two 7 hr sets sharing few same songs is impressive. wow

Anyways dont compare Oakey to PvD (PvD will blow him out of the water)
1 PvD makes his own music. (Don't forget that even Tranceport has 3 PvD produced/remixed tracks)
2 PvD consistently plays long sets everywhere in the world. This is because he chooses too. Oakey chooses not to do that--why? When Oakey chooses to play even a 4-5 hour set I will allow him to play old songs like Bullet in the Gun.

I wish everyone could have experienced a legendary 8-hour PvD@Twilo set. It blows your mind. Nothing like it anwhere.

but playing both sides of the argument, tranceboi or whatever, that's an invalid point there "you can't dis someone who's skills are better than you"

that's like saying if i dont DJ, then i can't say ANY certain DJ sucks, because obviously he cues and mixes and programs a set better than i do, simply because i dont do it.

or if the chicago bulls suck, i cant say they do because they're all professional baskeball players and obviously im not.

Did i miss something? did somebody attack PvD? PvD is AWESOME, everybody knows that, so why is everybody defending him? And where did the comparison of him to Paul Oakenfold come from? They are two totally different DJ's. I don't see the relation.

Twilogoddess, I know this. My point was about Oakey playing songs off his "Perfect World" CD in his sets - you previously complained that he plays these songs in every set he does. I agreed, noting that so do other DJ's. Whatever music you make, (whether its your own like PvD, or whether its a compilation of other stuff like Oakey, you are going to play it). Don't create a double standard here.

Raven: You posted the same thing twice. We have seen your list. people have answered your questions, yet you still ask the same questions, still have problems with the same things.

If some of you people opened your mind instead of being so bullheaded about some things, nobody would have any problems. I don't. I don't have problems with any of you, don't have problems with any DJ, I like it all.

here's what is going on.... starting friday june 29 a new residency will be moving to shadow lounge the last friday of every month. shadow will be transformed into god's kitchen (uk)- which is the world's most renown party. custom made decor is being built and shipped from england to go along with the full production- check out their website www.godskitchen.com
the launch will be with john "oo" fleming and every month the god's kitchen residents will rotate and a few names are...
