I was 16 when I first tried to order something from Amazon. I didn't have a credit card back then for obvious reasons, and my father thought the whole thing was a bit dodgy, so I couldn't use his credit card either. But, being a rather stubborn person, I didn't give up, and decided to wait.

I grew up, got my very own credit card and, today, I received my very first order. Although it's just a couple of books (one for me, and another one for my girlfriend), I'm really excited about it. I don't know whether TA's from the so-called developed countries understand why I'm so thrilled but... yeah, I feel like a small child receiving Christmas presents

i still get excited when i receive things i ordered off of Amazon, and i've been doing it for years.

as much as i get annoyed with waiting a few days for my package to arrive (there's something to be said about instant gratification), it is very much like receiving Christmas presents.

Today, I was running an errand when I drove by a spot where there were two Popeye's Chicken restaurants on opposite sides of the street - no more than 25 yards from one another.

someday i'm going to [attempt to] count the number of places i pass during my commute that serve fried chicken. i'm gonna guess (on average) that there is at least one per block, if you cover the entire stretch of Capitol between Humboldt Blvd and Tosa.
