this economy & country are going to shit...

don't anyone dare tell me how much better we have it then other countries because I will not hear it...I live in THIS country not anywhere else...and when conditions go from good to below bad...it's time to say something.

TODAY gas prices have reached the $3 mark...($3.10 in most places)

today marks the beginning of the end for the US...it will only get worse. In about 3 months it will be $4...then what? When Miami is known as one of the poorest cities. This is sad.

And all of this thanks to one dumbass...

sorry, but you are misinformed.

Scientists and Futurists have been predicting the drop in oil and fossil fuels since the early 90's. It's not because of "one man". It's because of ALL MEN. This was bound to happen regardless of who was in charge.

It's time to switch resources. Haven't you seen the Hydrogen cars, etc.. The production has already begun to switch- the problem is that there's not enough demand. Once the demand for hydrogen goes up, power companies will supply the hydrogen and fossil fuels will cease to be necessary.

A Change is coming and it could lead to the downfall of the US cuz Europe is well on their way to making the change. However, this doesn't really mean the USA will fall. It just means we're fuked for now.

Anyways.....the USA will fall at some point, just like any "great empire". It's all a matter of time.

You make good points, however I will disagree with you on the "one man." I'm sorry, but Bush is to blame for this, or better yet, he is the first person we can turn too point the finger at. He chooses to ignore the facts that global warming is major cause of these crazy weather patterns causing these massive hurricanes, i.e. Katrina, incredible snow storms, etc. He's in it to make money, and who cares about anything else. I agree, we need to start looking for alternatives besides fossil fuels. We could have been ahead of the game, or at least a few years ahead into making the change so that the transition wouldn't be so drastic as it is becoming. Everything will be affected by this, even our clubbing/partying. Give credit to Europe for starting to make the change. We could have been along with them, but our government, (president) doesn't think so at this time. It's bad for business.



Anyway, did anyone mention that these gas prcies suck!

you make good points (as Eric said) and I agree with the hydrogen cars but you can't say that it's not because of him, even if he's not fully to blame he is responsible for a lot of the inflation in this country. None of these ridiculous prices were around until he came into office. As I recall when Clinton was in office gas prices were well under $2 and if they went up, they went right back down again. They were more stable then now and you cannot rule out that he has affected our gas prices or our economy they have escalated far too much and at such a rapid pace...Remember he IS in the oil business...and that plays a gigantic role in the prices. Fact of the matter is that this country WILL fall, it would have probably taken longer with someone else in office but Bush has really pushed it down ahead of its time.

Very sad. Besides, everyone hates Americans.
