This top 20 of 2006 just goes to prove what an absolute joke ASOT has become. Armin, if you're reading this then i urge you to revisit some of the shows you were pumping out back in 2003. They were the winners. They were gold. They were what A state of trance was all about. varied, quality, original sounding music which had an edge. Which sounded fantastic.
(insert rant here)
No offense to Paavo, Tony or Jono, but there is no way that A&B deserve to win the tune of the year for the third time in a row. Seriously what a freaking joke that is. it also looks like almost half of the top ten tunes are released by armada, and the same old artists are making up the top 20.
I listened to about 3 episodes of ASOT this year, and being someone who used to religious listen and ADORE the show only a couple of years ago, this really makes me sad what it has become. Surely its not the drones out there listening who are voting for this shit, it must be the values and the 'drivers' which are pushing ASOT in this direction....

So fucking absolutely true. I missed the show yesterday but it looks like didnt miss a thing. Who the hell voted for Good for Me, Love You More, and especially for Are You Fine? Unbelievable. It supposed to be Top 20 Trance tunes.
