Er staat geen maat op PSV in de Nederlandse Eredivisie. De Eindhovenaren boekten tegen Willem II hun twaalfde zege op rij.
PSV begon uitstekend aan de partij tegen Willem II. Al na vier minuten opende Afellay de score. Na doelpunten van Kone en onze landgenoot Timmy Simons stond het na 22 minuten spelen al 3-0. Na de pauze dikte Tardelli nog aan tot 4-0, meteen het 50ste doelpunt voor PSV tegenover slechts zes tegendoelpunten. De Eindhovenaren hebben nu al een bonus van tien punten op AZ. Bij Willem II stond Sengier in doel. Mohammed Messoudi verving Kristof Imschoot bij de rust.
