Barcelona and Madrid do have some cool things too see, but they also have really great nightlife that you really shouldn't miss out on.
In Barcelona, you can usually get into the clubs for free (and a free drink sometimes) Men on the corners hand out passes- but you've gotta go on the early side (before midnight.) The place will get packed around 2.
If you want any suggestions of places to go in Barcelona, let me know... I spent 4 months there last year.
