Ist because zee naughty germans blew it all up and they had to rebuild fairly much all of it, least they built it interesting though (unlike Plymouth...). Think I preferred Amsterdam to visit than Rotterdam though, maybe I was expecting hardcore techno to be belting out on every street corner or something
