I totally agree, what are some of these progheads in this thread playing at? Get down from your prog cool club and back to reality; each person likes different things, what one person likes is not less mature or complex than what another person likes you bunch of cocks.

Who are you to say that a piece of music that one person adores (i.e a trance tune) is not as deep, meaningful, complex and mature as what you like (i.e a prog tune)? I think it's down to opinion, not neccesarily all this maturity and understanding at all!

progressive is, by definition, the future. music progresses and evolves, and thats what progressive music is all about

Says who? You? And who are you? Come back when you've got a clue.

These threads are really annoying, I dont see why a fan of a genre that has relativley close links with another genre can have so little respect...

Its the year of good music like every other fucking year. I've heard a fuckload of good prog, dnb, breaks, trance, house out this year and who gives a toss? Just enjoy the music. 2003 the year of prog? More like 2003 is the year of elitism.

I couldn't agree more.

[Rant]
Bollox to all the elitists that think they are more 'Mature' Because they listen to xxxx genre.

I will listen to anything, or give it a chance at least.
Anything from uplifting/club Trance to prog, house hardcore, hardhouse.
Anything from hard rock to acoustic, to Orchestral tracks and a bit of RnB

Simpy put, If you think you are better or more intelligent then someone because of what type of music you like then you are a complete moron. Face it, this is an Internet Message board, when it comes to the crunch no-one gives afuck about your half arsed world in which U put your self on the high platau claiming to be almighty superior to anyone who listens any type of music that isnt quite what you like.
Some people really need to grow up.

Yes ladies and gentlemen, I am a trance addict
I love all trance prog/uplifting or otherwise.
Well Fuck me I must be a n00b then...

NOW KISS AND MAKE UP

[/Rant]

when i say progressive is the future trancers get their panties in a twist. keep in mind the progressive music of today wont sound like the prog music of tommorow. all of you dont like prog house, thats fine. music has to evolve though, and progress. when music does this, its generally refered to as progressive. so whether any of us like it or not, progressive is the future.

Hardcore music has gone from old skool, and now there is hardstyle, an evolution, not a progression, so therefore you are wrong, music evolves, even progressive, so, evolution is what will shape future music

Agree. Proggheads should start their own website and stop knocking Trance. This is the best year for trance since 1999; I can't believe people would knock this shit for progg of all genres

lol, well that's not exaclty what i meant, cause i love prog, and i love trance, and techno. I just think the thread sucks cause of all the stupid prog vs trance arguments.
