yeah i know he is coming.
i just have this compulsion to repeatedly check the gig page and it always sucks to see the most important one come on and then disappear! to me, roxy is the most important one because it is the only six hour pvd set in america. a six hour set with pvd is unbeatable. ive had countless awesome experiences at other pvd events and they are great. but the six hour sets stand on their own level in terms of the "ride" and just straight up content. no one knows what pvd is all about unless they hear him rock it all night. because, the shorter sets are condensed into the big records in the box. the 6 hr sets are the all-encompassing house to trance to techno to just banging hard fucking music and back to signature pvd that make me come to new york from wherever i am!!
in other news, roxy needs to elevate their ceiling by 10 feet and they might call themselves a decent club! hehe.
oh, and about this being too mainstream....fuck that shit. you guys who have issues with things being advertised or marketed sound paranoid. i trust paul to stay true to himself. when the quality of the music does not suffer, its spread is healthy. it only means that good music is getting popular and hopefully knocking out some of that crap that's out there.
