I'm not going to school yet, but I'm probably going to be going to University of Washington and planning on majoring in Chemistry.
I suppose I'd like to go elsewhere, somewhere far away preferrably but I don't have the financial capabilities and my academic record is far under what it could be (3.39 cumulative.. "hardest" (not very difficult at all) course i've taken is probably pre-calculus, which is what... 3rd year H.S. math?
I haven't done a single extracurricular activity, ever so that pretty much f*cks me aswell.
I got a 1430 on my SAT which is okay I guess, but it's a pretty poor test of one's aptitudes in learning from my point of view. The ironic thing, however, is that it is the highest score from my school in approximately ~10 years(current counseler cannot remember a score any higher than ~1300, shes been counseling at my school for ~10 yrs) ??? In short, my school sucks, like majorly.
I guess I should look on the positive side...
I'm still going to get a lot better education than most Americans(of the world?). However, I must admit I am insanely jealous of those who have rich parents or had enough insight at the onset of highschool to see where they would end up in 4 years if they played by the "I'm dedicated" rulebook.
I basically gave school the middle finger for the greater portion of high school, which I sorely regret now.
All this amounts to the fact that I haven't even bothered applying to out of state universities due to the inherent futility in said tasks (even if I'm accepted, where am I going to get the bloody money?).
Well, my post is more of a rant, but it's the chillout forum so who gives a flying fsck.
