I like all styles really. I prefer dark/sad stuff in trance, i like progressive with or without melodies, i like techno, funky or hard. Not a fan of vocal trance usually, and not a big fan of hardtrance

Rythm: Very important for me. Not just 4/4 duh duh duh duh type stuff unless it sounds cool. That's why I mainly listen to prog and breaks nowadays.

Melody: I still have a soft spot for those epic classic melodies. I generally don't like it to be too fluffy. Haunting type melodies I usually like. I also like that "techy" type sound (like Activity).

Vocals: I don't normally like these especially if the lyrics are retarded, but if done right, they can be my reason for liking the song.

After having started a match, and immediately sent a house tune, I've realised that restricting it to just trance is not really necessary. Too tedious to enforce anyway, and sometimes what's trance and what isn't is a grey area.

I draw the line a Britney Spears or the Hootin' Annies however.
