Ok, so this may have been said already, but its getting old listening to people take pot shots at each other and write essays about this issue.
PvD = DJ who needs some BT trax cause they are wicked.
BT = producer, who subsequently CAN spin but chooses NOT to generally, which is better than I can say for some DJs.
As for the whole music industry thing, is BT selling out? Maybe, maybe not. He certainly is talented- talented enough to create an artistic pop song. Nsync may suck, but when listening to 'Pop' you can hear some of the many styles and techniques that BT has created/refined in his genre(s). There are little parts of every song from the MISL era BT in that pop song. Sure its a bit simplified cause of the target audience (non TAs obviously) but its still undeniably BT. My personal opinion is that BT will continue to forge ahead whether people understand it or not. One of BTs gifts has always been experimentation with accessability in mind. Plus that just means when you are watching that Britney video next time you wont have to mute it cause some 60 year old fat, balding guy didnt produce it with a 50 dollar synth.
--And anyone who hates BT, of which I fell into that category for awhile, SEE HIM LIVE. Few DJs can ever match this kind of performance. late...
