On topic again...your posts were addressed to Leigh, and your assumptions are illogical. First of all, you say BT is not going to have much in the way of creative freedom. If you knew anything about his history at nettwerk, you would know that he would not work on something that he didn't have complete freedom to produce what he wanted. Second, he's rich, why sellout now?

All that I am saying is that condemning someone for who they work with is ridiculous. Sure, I agree both Britney and N'sync are corporate tools(emphasis on TOOLS). But that doesn't mean that they can't be ARTISTS as well. I'm just giving them the benefit of the doubt, and keeping an open-mind to their ability. Both are in a financial position that allows them to not have to worry about selling records anymore, if they so choose it. All I am saying is that is a POSSIBILITY, not a reality.

I probably won't like the track at all. But I'll give it a shot, and I certaintly won't call BT a sellout. The man has been the future of music for the last 5 years, it just doesn't make sense for him to throw it all away to make a few bucks.

Respect.

Agree with u 100%
couldnt sum it up better myself... i cant add nothing cos u said it all properly.. so yeah.... top stuff...

Respect.

Yeah, don't worry about it mate. I went kinda over the top as well, so it's all good.

Anyway, I don't really think there's anything else I want to add that hasn't already been said in this thread. While I still strongly disagree with BT collaborating with these artists, I'm prepared to wait until I hear the finished product before passing judgement. Knowing my luck it will be a stormer which will make me look like a right arse when someone digs this thread back up in the next few months.

But anyway, BT is a great producer, and even though - probably more for personal reasons than anything else - I do disagree with the way he's talked N-Sync and Brittney up as worthy musicians and implied that his decision was not one inspired by his desire for either money or fame, I do respect him as a producer and for what he has done for the electronic music scene before that "Pop" production.

So I think I'll just leave it that, I don't want to start a war in here.

Well see, that's the thing. I, and the majority of other people on this forum, would do what BT has done if they were given the opportunity. But, at the same time, I'd just take my money and walk, I wouldn't try to over-explain why I did it, or go on about how cool Justin Timberlake is just to try and cover the fact that I only collaborated with him to line my pockets a bit.....

But anyway. I don't think I can really say anything that I haven't already said in much greater detail.

cool to see U guys chilled.
anyway, every1 told his opinion on this, so U R cool now.
to sum up:

-BT has already done the trax with both NSYNC and Britney
-some don't like this, considering the man a sellout
-some don't like it either, but then, he ain't a sellout
-some just wait for the next album
-and some don't have no opinion about this, as they do not know about BT (nor the great trax he has done!)

but all and all, we can say this thread is done now.

Respect! (expect new thread whenever the Album comes out! same participants?)

KSA

I guess they wanted to much pop and to less electronica there. But maybe it's better, ppl won't flame him anymore for that.
and why do ppl hate Limp Bizkit? I mean, it will be weird to hear such a colaboration's results. rock-trance?

Ok, so this may have been said already, but its getting old listening to people take pot shots at each other and write essays about this issue.
PvD = DJ who needs some BT trax cause they are wicked.
BT = producer, who subsequently CAN spin but chooses NOT to generally, which is better than I can say for some DJs.

As for the whole music industry thing, is BT selling out? Maybe, maybe not. He certainly is talented- talented enough to create an artistic pop song. Nsync may suck, but when listening to 'Pop' you can hear some of the many styles and techniques that BT has created/refined in his genre(s). There are little parts of every song from the MISL era BT in that pop song. Sure its a bit simplified cause of the target audience (non TAs obviously) but its still undeniably BT. My personal opinion is that BT will continue to forge ahead whether people understand it or not. One of BTs gifts has always been experimentation with accessability in mind. Plus that just means when you are watching that Britney video next time you wont have to mute it cause some 60 year old fat, balding guy didnt produce it with a 50 dollar synth.

--And anyone who hates BT, of which I fell into that category for awhile, SEE HIM LIVE. Few DJs can ever match this kind of performance. late...
