the soundtrack is awsome aswell i cant stop humming the OPD theme in my head!
you all must see it
Agree, you all have to see it (but posting in here, every1 will have seen in).
Really enjoyed the movie. The negative spin on drugs was tad annoying, and won't grow the dance scene(one day there will be a movie that gets people in2 the scene without a negative spin on drugs [or w/o drug references at all]).
Good acting, good story line, standard angles to allow more focus on the characters, good progression, nice sound. A very powerful movie.

MAJOR TUNAGE!!!!!!!!!! wish it was longer
i recommend watching the movie first so when you listen to the soundtrack you can associate the songs with particular scenes in the movie and go "ohhhh i remember that!"

i don't recall seeing him. anybody else see PVD?
would have been nice if they included "nothing but you" and the "bag lady opera" on the soundtrack, as both were in the movie
just checking out the website, they've got a fun mixer lol.

I quite enjoyed the movie too - it's not the genre-defining club movie like Human Traffic is, but it was an enjoyable two hours.
I'll get the minor gripes out of the way early: gayest club name ever (TranceZENdance :whip, and the negative drug slant (IF YOU TAKE DRUGS YOU WILL DIE!!). Aside from that, it was pretty good.
Funny how the tune-spotting gene just doesn't turn off, I picked six tracks in the movie
For the record:
Paul van Dyk - Nothing But You
Dallas Superstars - Helium
Underworld - 100 Days Off
Lamb - Gorecki
Aurora or Duran Duran - Ordinary World
Overall the soundtrack was damn good, also some Moby, Ferry Corsten, Love Tattoo and CJ Bolland in there....
Cheers to all the TAs who came along

from the website:
quote:
Lightstream films and Hardware Corporation joined forces to create a stunning final scene for the film, transforming a local sports stadium into a massive dance event.
Over six thousand people packed the arena as Dan Spielman (Tommy), took the stage, dwarfed by a 60 foot projection screen. Dan, who had learnt to spin records and play violin for the role, said: "The crow was like a giant force ready to be harnessed, all you had to do was raise your hands and the whole place would go off."
'Go off' they did and for the crew of 'One Perfect Day' the title started to make sense. Filming complete, Dan passed the decks over to Paul van Dyk who kep the crowd rocking until the early hours.
Still don't recall seeing PVD during that scene though...
btw, check out "events" under the "behind the scenes" section for some videos filmed during the events for the movie. You can see PVD there

nah paul wasnt in, he wasnt supposed to be
they just filmed at the 2001 Kabuki gig at QBH.... they had a second "Fake" dj booth setup i think... it was to the side of the real booth... and before pauls set they filmed the crowd and the main charatcer doing his final set.. then when they finished filming and all that paul started his set
think thats how it went

ok cool. too bad. Paul's presence would have drawn more people into watching the movie imo.
Looks like kabuki was held @ vodafone arena ie. "a local sports stadium".
Fictional club "TranceZenDance" in the movie was filmed at QBH.
