Yeah, I guess having an opinion requires at least some intelect.

Btw, I just realized your nick was tathi...I kept thinking all this time that it was tahti.

Nothing wrong with patriotism. And you're from Croatia? Good news Tito. NATO will probably pull out its forces at the end of the year and you can get back to being good friends with Bosnia. If you don't want to see our forces over there again playing our national anthem then learn to get along with your neighbors.

Translation: I completely missed the point and failed to understand what DT was implying.

The problem isn't the fact that you support the pledge (I happen to disagree with you, but again, that isn't the issue). The problem is the fact that you appear to be behaving like a troll. Every post you make is nothing more than a delibratley provocative one liner - you never back up what you say - even when challenged. In other words, you clearly aren't willing to debate, which is why I (and apparently others as well) suspect that you're either a banned user in a new alias, or, as mentioned, a troll trying to stir up trouble.

So do they say a pledge of allegiance in Australian schools? Do you play your national anthem at sporting events? We don't particularly need your opinion as to whether we should do so in America. And I don't know why you persist in dising me when others go to the left talking about STDs and animal sex of all things. Unless you believe that's OK since you make no comment about those posts.

ffs, this is in INTERNATIONAL forum. We try to be a bit open minded here, to share and discuss our opinions and by that hopefully learn something new/learn someone else something new. try it, i think u need it.

if only americans could discuss american issues, there would be no need for this forum. now please get out of here or try to back up your statments / listen to others opinions

Ok, let's do this step by step.

1) I never supported Croatian engagement in Bosnia.

2) Croatia currently has pretty good relations with Bosnia, and the only reason NATO forces are there is not because of Bosnian foreign relations but because of its internal instability and the Serbian quasi-state inside the state.

3) NATO forces weren't in Croatia. It was UN forces.

4) I really don't mind having pledge of allegiance at school, as well as I don't mind playing national anthem at some occasions (although I'm admittedly not really fond of the tune). Infact I have never even stated anything against saying the pledge in the entire thread, although I do believe that "under god" shold be thrown out because:

a) It was not there in the first place, it got inserted in 1950's by fundies to make the country seem more opposed to communist atheism.

b) God and religion should be seperated from the state as much as possible.

5) The only reason I complained about your posts is not because I disagree with your opinion, I disagree with opinions of many people. It was because they are idiotic one-liners that are provoking and totally uninteresting.

Have you ever heard of humor? You know, that thing that makes you a miserable failure every time you make an attempt at it?

First off, how is the above post in any way related to what I said?

No, we had one but as far as I know it got scrapped.

Sometimes, it really depends. At small events, no. At larger events, they often end up scrapping it or another song which isn't our national anthem, but more people know the words to. The national anthem is some crappy old sea-shanty type tune, and since half of the country never really bothers to learn the words to the thing, it makes sense to just scrap it whenever possible.

Great, so stop posting here then.

When there's a thread on Europe, I don't see any Europeans attacking Americans for having an opinion on European politics

And the problem with discussing STDs would be what? Last time I checked AIDS was fast becoming a glabal epidemic - and as such it's worthy of discussion. As dor animal sex, believe it or not, there actually have been some serious arguments over whether it should be illegial or not and whether animals can give informed consent.

But yeah, I do think that discussing STDs and animal sex is perfectly okay.

I give. Go back to talking about animal sex and don't worry about me adding any more to this thread. Sorry I interrupted your intellectual debates.
