No....YOU are keeping you down. All my black friends are quite successful in their own right and have learned to adapt to today's workforce and take advantage of what's offered to them, even if it does come harder to get which is not what I've seen personally.
I'm asian and people clammor over hiring me to do shit for them. It's not because I'm asian, it's because I'm fuckin' really good at what I do. My friends range from black to white to jewish to asian to purple people eaters and we've left behind all the idiots that promote themselves as thugs long ago, professionally and on a personal level.
Does that make me better than them? Ummmmmm, you bet your fucking ass it does. I've made it, I got a house, a career and a vast opening in front of me that just calls for me to do whatever it is I feel like doing in life. The thugs....yeah, their stuck....being thugs. How fun.
BET and MTV will never go away. They may evolve one day but I don't see it doing that anytime soon. Until they do, I choose not to watch or pay attention. I'm too smart to think that all black people are indignant morons, pissed at the "Man" and have no clue how to pronounce the word "ask" or "teeth" properly.
