Yeah I know I missed out ...I ended up working with sarah that night in downtown she needed help. It was insane I fucken HATE downtown traffic and cops and just some of the ppl in general. This is a little off-topic, but can one of you real DJs mix Benny Benassi - Love Is Gonna Save Us -> Britnet Spears - Everytime (Above and Beyond) -> Tiesto - Traffic and post it as an mp3? Or maybe get Lori Scott to mix it since she's already mixing Benny Benassi? I know it's a strange request probably, but I want to see what a good DJ can do with those tracks...

music is subjective..but to me a good dj is one that can mix from one track to the next without the listener having much of a clue that there *was* a transition...no matter how long said listener has been appreciating the genre in question.

then again...I can respect anyone who can get a floor rocking for the music itself, rather than the noteriety of his name

Well, I've sort of begun mixing music on the PC (and also looking at beginner mixers and such in general). I think I understand the concept of beat matching and phrase matching, but then I have questions on mixing two tracks (such as the ones mentioned above)where an apparent beat does not exist either at the beginning or at the end, AND there just doesn't seem to be a good spot to start somewhere in the middle...I wanted to see what a real DJ would do or what his/her technique would be...and what the outcome sound would be...
