All "Who's your Daddy?!!?" and "1918" chants aside:

I don't understand why Pedro is pitching tomorrow night in Yankee Stadium, under even more pressure since he said those infamous words. Wakefield should be pitching Game 2 tomorrow since once he gets on a roll with his knuckler, he's really unhittable...especially at Yankee Stadium.

So he can pitch game 6 or 7 if need be...remember he's boston's Ace after Shelling's preformance last night. I think his ANKLE is hurting...Wakefield is extremely effective against the yankees, I dont know why they don't start him more against us??

how his team must feel! i don't know why he would even say that. they musta ripped him a new one. that was just plain foolish! it was like him announcing to the world that he was giving up. i didn't even see the usual hatred and fire in his eyes during the game. only confusion and frustration. maybe it would have worked if he beat them, but he didn't. he shouldn't have said those words.

but on the other hand, i near fell out of my chair from laughing so hard. i never heard a clearer chant from 53000+ people

NLCS game 2...
unbelievable - back-to-back home runs by the Cardinals in the bottom of the 8th!
too bad for the Astros
such a close game, with so many chances to score, and Munro started out really well
turning point was when they couldn't make the double play

The brooms will have to be put away
Excellent performance by Clemens, followed up by Lidge (3 K's in the 9th to end the game!)
and Beltran also - he'll be MVP of the NLCS if the Astros win
Oswalt could help bring the Astros back into the series.

Not one, but two exciting games today! Dang, can't get no work done!
0-0 in the 9th between Astros and Cards, which is no small feat
(funny how it was the beginning of the 9th when the Yanks-Sox game ended, a game which started 3 hours earlier)
Even more impressive was Backe having a no-hitter into the 6th, and both teams still having a 1-hitter
