Well, as I mentioned earlier I agree that his set was very predictable. Nevertheless, the set was still very enjoyable. I judge DJ sets by the kind of music DJ plays, and not by "predictability" of the set. Most people enjoyed Tiesto's set as it was. If he started experimenting, a minority(most likely Us, tranceaddicts) would've really loved it, but majority of people, who are not that hardcore trance fans, would not have liked it at all. That's exactly the reason why Essential Mix was that progressive: Majority of UK audience loves progressive. On the other hand, public in Montreal and Toronto is very similar. We are relatively new to Trance. I doubt he is playing Delerium-Silence anywhere in Holland or UK. Yet, most people enjoyed hearing that track here.
The thing I find wicked is how things change. When he dropped Urban Train and Souvenir De Chine during Wintergalactic, nobody cared. Nobody knew titles of those tracks for that matter. Now, these two tracks are like the biggest trance hits ever.
One thing I'm dissapointed about though, is that he didn't drop any Gouryella tracks. That really would be the highlight of the night for me.
