ok gerry heres a test for you to do to notice the lack of energy. stand in the middle of the floor in your bedroom over your set of decks, raise both arms in the air preferably whilst looking into a mirror, have your track blasting out, imagine your tiesto looking out over 30,000 clubbers all their arms are raised also. 4mins in drum roll begining they're beginning to go wild cheering. 4min 10secs bang kicks back in = anti climax, they thought they were gonna have an orgasm but you were just teasing them. disapointment is evident on all faces. hehe

just a technique i use to see if my tracks have enough energy.
loop bars between 4.05 and 4.20mins until you get what we mean.

Sounds good to me...I'm not into that style but it's very enjoyable and happy sounding...although it got me in a kind of sad mood...it triggered a weird emotion...no clue why...and I'm not a very emotional person. It also reminds me of driving my turbo Celica by the beach in my island of Puerto Rico.

maybe it could be a good thing... trance is known for spoiling you like an immature child by giving you everything and not leaving you asking for more... I could be leaving you asking for more

heh don't worry about it... tomorrow I'll check it out and update it... I've already got something cooked up in my head that could work the wonders. Just a couple of tweakers and that's it... I think I know what's wrong... the build has too much given at you, then the beat kicks in and all of that is taken away... I can easily fix that by having a minimal buildup... so that way you don't expect a whole lot when the beat kicks in... adding more variety to the track and introducing the melodies coming later on better

Okay Danny, I took your advice I pretended to be Tiesto and bla bla bla.. so I changed the buildup to build more energy before the beat kicks in.. I also added a piano lead

The changes you made are very appropriate, the track seems better structured to me now and the energy problem when the lead starts is solved, it sounds much better.

nice track, not too energetic but it doesn't need to be, chilled out is just as good.

that whistling synths (sounds like a 3xosc) is too loud and almost hurts my ears at points with the frequencies that it hits, would sound better a little lower in volume.

i'm not a fan of the key change however...

thanks.. yeah I guess it's a mastering issue... some speaker sets the sines are a bit quiet and others loud... sines usually present a problem in many tracks... a lot of the Whiteroom tracks, the sines really breakthrough the speakers, and in others they're quiet.

Whisling synths? come on dude are you even a producer? They're sinewaves. They can be generated by ANY synth... not just a 3xosc fruityloops synth. Quit being a preset kiddy and learn some synthesis. Lemme guess, I haven't used fruity 3xosc but is there a sine preset called "whistly synth"?

Not a very compelling review coming from a fellow producer, sorry I was harsh on ya... sounds like a review I'd expect from an FL noob. Or you think I'm the noob who can't handle big producer vocabulary? You don't need to play any games with me, man. Eh whatever I guess I'm in a talkative mood today.

The more I listen to this track, it reminds me somewhat of Ferry Corsten - Indigo. Nice updates Gerry! this is repeating on my mp3 player constantly!

Yo Gerry, well i already gave you most of my comments on that sample u gave me a while ago, but sounding pretty good. It does sound a little repetitive though throughout the track . This is for sure more chilled than your other tunes from the last few months, but that is good though, a tune i would play more at the begining of a set. Talk to you later on msn
