What I dont understand is why people equate dropping a pill to not loving the music...
imo it couldn't be further from the truth. When I roll to an amazing DJ I have the most intimate connection to the music he is playing...the sounds become a part of my life more than ever...and I LOVE it. |
This is a good statement. I was not trying to infer that all drug users are there solely for the drugs. There are clearly people who can use drugs responsibly in a public setting with a dubious social perception like an EDM event. However, there is no way to draw a line between the responsible and the irresponsible. Many use drugs and become socially inopperable, use irresponsibly, and/or blame the drug for anything that may have been out of their ordinary (Many US court cases have shown that, even in crimes as serious as rape and murder, drug use is an acceptable defense).
I really dont mind drug use of any kind at a party. What I do mind is those who dont use responsibly. I feel these people tend to gather at EDM events because of its 'shady' image, and they imagine drugs will be readily avaliable and they don't know where else to get them. These people are looking to get fucked up, nothing more. These are the individuals I would like to see out of the scene.

Cigarettes are actually more addictive than heroin.
The only thing that bothers me is when anti-drug, high-horse riding losers pass judgement on me and my character based solely on ONE of the aspects of my life.
Hate to break it, but studies some major cities showed that something like 40% of adults aged 18-30 do some form of illegal drugs at least once a month, be it weed, cocaine, crack or pills.
If I were to choose to do 2 pills a night, once month, that makes me worthy of 'Natural Selection'? Bollocks |
no... you don't read carefully. what i said and meant is
1) i don't give a shit about your life. you can live for 125 more years - or die today - i won't have a single neurotransmitter fired in either case. so, naturally, i don't judge you at all, it's your own choice what to do with your life.
2) you become worthy of "natural selection" if you die because of drug abuse. just like any other person who dies of high cholesterol because he eats at mcdonalds, or of lung cancer because he smokes, or of liver cirrhosis because he drinks too much alcohol.
3) i don't advocate for putting the end users to jail. only the dealers.
that's all.

probably, that's what people with inferiority complexes try to read between the lines. i clearly don't put any overtones in my messages. once again, your choice is your choice, mine is mine. i don't give a single molecule of shit what you do with your life. and i don't judge people i don't care about. that's it. no overtones there.
the only offensive to some group of people thing that i said is that "crackheads are brainless fuckups". that's my general vision of a "crackhead", or, by what i mean, a person addicted to crack, and therefore abusing it. i don't compare a "crackhead" to me, to see whether i'm better or worse, i just define such group of people as "brainless fuckups" in my own dictionary. clearly, a person who uses crack in moderation and recreationally, and is doing it not because he/she is addicted, but because it's fun to him, cannot be called a "crackhead" in my book.
