OK here's my extremely late review.
First time seeing Ferry for a complete set. Glad it was at Crobar. I had a good time. Great seeing all the usual suspects. As far as his set goes, It was good. But nothing extraordinary. For all of you who say that Ferry ripped it, well then I'd hate to see him when he is not on point. There were some EXTREMELY AWESOME moments during the set, but there were also some boring and monotonous moments. He banged out some sick tracks, but he also played some boring tracks. Brian, Charley totally had me hyped before hand that Ferry was going to kick my ass hard. Sorry to say my friends, he didn't. Yeah he was better than many dj's I've heard at Crobar. But for the way I was hyped, he let me down. By 5:30 AM I was already thinking about going home.
Now as far as Brian saying Armin, Tiesto, & PVD who? Man, you better share whatever it is you got. IMHO Armin at SPIRIT COMPLETELY DESTROYED FERRY at CROBAR. I liked Tiesto's set better than Ferry also; no questions asked. PVD at Crobar was still the best trance party at Crobar, to me at least. Ferry's set was better than Armin's when he played crobar cause SummerStage got rained out. Know what, as I think of it, Serge Devant was more enjoyable. |
Bro....lay off the crack.j/k The vibe, the music, everything about this night was better than Tiesto...did you take a look around? People were eating it up!!! Everybody was having a fucking blast and enjoying the music to the fullest. Im sorry but I have feeling your own taste in music is typing your review more so than your overall opinion on the night. The track selection was much better than Tiesto's set. Now I didn't go to Armin at Spirit but based on some of his recent sets including Sensation....Ferry kicks Armin in the balls. Maybe you were tired because we stayed till 6:30.....what time did we stay till for Tiesto???...that's what I thought. The only reason I was ready to leave was because Ferry kicked my ass, HARD. I could hardly even stand at the end. I was a bit tranced out at the end but only because Ferry played for over 5 hours!!! Ferry > PVD, Armin, Tiesto so far this year....and this is concidering all aspects.....track selection/vibe/mixing/crowd interaction.

Well Bro, In your eys it was like that. I seen it from a totally different perspective. You know I don't like too much fluff, and there was WAAAAAAAAAAY too much of that. And as far as vibe goes? Better than PVD? LOL!!!! RIIIIIIIIIght. Let me think........Did you even leave the VIP area during PVD to come on the Dancefloor? Ummmmmmm, if you did, It wasn't during the 2 1/2 hours I was on it. I'm telling you bro, The dancefloor area was sick. Extremely crowded Yes, but none-the-less awesome vibe. Everyone had a smile on their face and was singing along to tracks they knew(which was the same thing at Ferry). And as far as track wise, PVD killed it. Plain and simple. Plus, we didn't even stay for the full set cause of what happened to Briana. You, me, and everyone of her close friends were pre-occupied with being worried about her foot. Hence the reason we left 2 hours early. We left like 30 minutes before Ferry ended. Bro, seriously, in my mind. There is no comparison between the 2 nights. PVD hands down Shit out Ferry Fluff.
Now Tiesto, Yeah the vibe at Ferry was better and we did stay longer at Ferry. But oops, let us not forget that it was on a Sunday night and both Bree & myself had to be at work quite early. So, yeah we did leave early. But track wise, Tiesto played harder, and to me harder > fluff. So I'll call it a tie between those two.
And Armin at Spirit, man that was a real close second to PVD @ Crobar. Armin completely tore it up. Better than that DC set you, I and Amy were at last year. Crazy, you missed a good one. Hope Morillo was worth it. Sure he was though. He usually does not dissapoint.
