Its easier for a Producer to get into DJing than the other way around imo, because they already have the fundementals of knowing what makes up the track mastered, at which point the concept of beatmatching and mixing tracks becomes a lot simpler. If a DJ wants to become a producer, its not always so simple, because while they might understand what makes a great track, they still have an upward slope of learning the sequencing software, effects, plugings, mastering etc, which is getting increasingly more difficult. It really is a full time job these days.
