Instead trance music would be available only as an object in the form of music that one listens to for the fun of it, NOT background material for marketing!

Agreed. Trance needs to be de-commercialized.
Trucker hats suck. Glad somebody finally mentioned them.

more music made for money. More labels forcing artists to adhere to a strict formula, and discouraging experimentation. Those same labels forcing djs and radios to favour and play such formula tracks. Increasing lack of original tracks becoming popular, ultimately leading to staleness.

At least thats what I've seen with other genres.

Maybe the only thing that can save is the internet. But that would require people making music without the intention of making money from it, and djs doing the same..... Submitting mixes on the net, using tracks made by people making music as a hobby, gaining a following through word of mouth.

Haven't figured how livesets could work...

meh. I'm just brainstorming.

idiot thats why trance has gone shit blame people like tiesto for that its all about the money making cheesy wank music when stuff goes mainstream.
As for what i would do with trance i would put in the bin and start it over in underground clubs having people produce quality tunes doing it for the love of the music and not to make a quick buck.

People go to work cose they have to not cose they love it.
People dj/produce music cose they love it so yeah they deserve to get ripped for being in it for the money.

when trance evolves into something in the next decade and people start calling it booty-goth trance, people are going to complain about it just like people complain about how today's rock sucks compared to back then.

2 things:

- Make all online radio shows MUCH less frequent. ASOT is once a week. Let`s drop it to once a month, so that the most hyped up radio show there is can actually be WORTH hyping up. Kill all the pointless ones too, that means all of Suzy Solar`s 30,000 radio shows are GONE!

- Take Belgian trance out of all of your `pointless, awful, shitty cheese` collections and actually listen to it. Don`t base all of your opinions on a few songs from a few years ago, not every Belgian trance song is like Castles In The Sky. Whether you like it or not, Belgian trance still produces the same feelings/vibes/emotions as it was in 1999 & 2000, whether you want to admit it or not. Although the new Lasgo & Milk Inc. tracks are more electro, they still give you the same feeling as the Astroline tracks from 1998. There are new releases coming soon from Jessy, Ian Van Dahl, Lasgo, Sylver, Milk Inc., Peter Luts, Anneke Van Hoff & DHT. Although Minimalistix, Kira, Orion Too, Kate Ryan & Astroline are all GONE, there are still consistent Belgian trance artists out there.
