i don't know if this is a good idea

at the heineken thirst studio final in indonesia the runner-up had produced some killer tracks and his mixing was flawless. then he started singing through the mike to a remix of "i love rock and roll" in his gay chinese-accented english and it instantly killed the mood of the crowd. it was really one of those "what the hell were you thinking" moments.

by the way my friend (who DJs/produces under the name innerlight - look out for his music) won, and his prize is a trip to the U.S. to produce a track with BT wooooot

ARe u kidding me? So many DJs out there pretend to be doing shit. Especially at times, when clearly it's not them that are doing anything, it's just a part of the music.

Im not defending or denying the dj in question isnt at it BUT Do you not think its a bit stupid to wear earphones when your listening to how the PA sounds? Why do you think you have a seperate Volume control for the booth? One of the reasons being so you can turn it down and listen to how to main PA sounds..
