bro r u serious...sander is progressive as hell..yah he throws in an eclectic mix of retro. funk. chunk, and even discoish tracks...but it is still progressive because it moves forward,not to mention that he plays alot of prog tracks as well...not just one genre blah and i must play this record b/c it is prog, or trance or house....he moves the sound wherever he wants henceforth he is a prog dj...if u have never seen him on the space terrace then u have NO idea whagt he can do...why do u think finnally all these peeps r starting to recognize what ive been about for two yrs now...the man knows how to rcok a party and he knows how to rock it for way longer than the traditional 3-5 hr trance dj...like james said if u cant get into sander then u have the most close minded way of thinking...but maybe u dont like him for other reasons, i dont know but from a musical standpoint and defintely from a "rock a party all day long standpoint", not many bring it like sander...

heh okay... I'd rather hear a good emotional synthline than some cheesey disco crap. trance and good house is well good... disco and discohouse is well cheese and timmeh... nuff said. I'm not hating on sander, but I feel my post is justifiable since this is Trance Addict... not Houselovers.com therefore my opinion is just as valid as anyone else's and not "hatred".

I'm not saying for anyone to hate Sander and love my music, I'm just providing my opinion. It sucks that anybody can post their opinion about an artist here, and it's acceptable, while another artist/DJ can't post an opinion here because it's considered hating on, or being jealous.

Sander's always bashing trance artists in various reviews in magazines, so why can't I a trance artist, bash him back? He accuses trance of being stuck in 1998, when I hear his music being stuck in 1986 chicago house, and trance moving on. If you don't like Tiesto or Paul or Armin, then check out other trance DJs and artist... heh you've got your very own Re-lick and grooveeric on this forum.

understandable indeed...didnt really mean to bash so hard on ur mixes but i read the tl and see same monotonous trance which like sander says and i agree is very 1998...granted i went to pvd the other week and had an absolute blast but even pvd admits in an interview that trance records have started to suck hence he played alot of prog, tech infused trance stuff...and sander music is some of the most forward thinking shit out right now...it by itself proves to u why this "trance" site has waay more prog headz then trance anymore because the sound is changing...i totally respect u as an artist, because at least u r making edm and not some shit hop or gaygetton or whatever else is out there, it isnt my cup of tea but that doesent matter, and again i would NEVER say shit about someone music or anythign for that matter unless i was substantiating a point...just hard to hear soemone like that call sander fruity, it is a complete oxymoron...of course it will always just be a matter of opinion and i will respect that...

No it's not an oxymoron (oh yeah you're such a Sander fan... btw I was playing on the lyrics to his track "the Fruit"... maybe you haven't heard it already... so definately no oxymoron intent there).. trance no matter how emotional or cheesey can get will never be as fruity as disco and chicago-house. House is the staple music of the gay community, and I can't believe most houseaddicts fail to admit the truth (calling trance gay and house straight as hell), and I'm not a gay basher, I just speak the truth, and that's where house music history started and is rooted in.

well PvD is still trance and there's proof that trance is changing... it's merging with countless other genres in the very own productions and livesets. House is changing too and merging with other genres, but still I prefer the energy found in trance, not the disco rhythms in house. I don't know why these house artists come out of nowhere to bash trance when all it is a 70s or 80s disco 2 bar loop over and over again. Please trance is NOT monotonous when you compare it to house music.

and btw my sets are different in styles... yes I do some 1998 style trance ones, but check out my latest one vol6 http://www.gerrycueto.com/download.html lots of variety in there and never gets monotonous. Yes I too am realizing that trance is supposed to take you on a journey but most trance sets fail to do that, instead they take you in a journey in circles... well anyway vol6 unlike my last promos is a true journey, not a journey in circles.
