Sounds like you're handling the situation right. It's a little bit of a red flag, if he's getting attached so quickly, but you have to play situations like this out. I've had girls seem way into me, after only a few days, and I proceed with caution from there. If they are a little needy, but I really enjoy their company, I can handle it. If they are too needy/insecure, it becomes a problem for me and I'm turned off by them. The e-mail sounds like a good idea, and now you can only wait to hear what he has to say. Good luck!

I don’t understand. He told me it wasn’t enough (weekends only) for him to “feel the relationship” or make a commitment. But he also made little comments about how he is “setting me free” and I can “do my thing” bla bla bla. He did it over the phone first and I told him I was crushed and we hung up. But then I decided to do something spontaneous and romantic so I drove all the way down to his place and told him to come outside and talk to me face to face. He basically said the same things and he seemed like he was really struggling with telling me it’s over. And I told him I really liked him and that this hurt me bad. And then he made a comment about how he was upset that I didn’t go see him on Sunday and I said, “well you could have driven to ft. Lauderdale to see me” and he was like, “well you didn’t invite me and you never invite me to your mom’s, like it’s such a big deal or something”. That made me think that he was upset about that. Like he thinks I was trying to keep a distance between him and my personal life. I think my email really hurt him and rejected him and so he dropped me like a hot potato and I totally fucking blew it
