Forget about the completely unnecessary fader cuts, the odd double beats and the spelling errors in the track list, there are some true melodic techno goodies to be found in the second part of the mix.

So far its pretty good and there is Norken coming up so...
Do you have the ''soul static bureau'' album ?

Nope, and I must say I've never even heard of Norken before.. Haven't really been into this sound until lately, so there's a lot to discover. Not really for spinning purposes though, I'll stick to other stuff for that.

not dancefloor stuff.

I probably listen to techno more than any other genre outside trance and progressive, but I'm not "in the know" like some people around here who are real techno fans. That said, some of my favorite productions are:

Dave Clarke (Red 2) - Wisdom to the Wise
Devilfish - Manalive / Bryan Zentz - D-Clash
Christian Morgenstern - Hawaii Blue
Uli Poeppelbaum - Progressiv (Audiotechture Remix)
Chris Liebing - Golden Age (Christian Smith & John Selway Remix)
Christian Smith & John Selway - Giant
Mauro Picotto - Baguette
Mauro Picotto & Ricardo Ferri - Alchemist
Tiga & Zyntherius - Sunglasses at Night (Chris Liebing Mix)
Slam - Positive Education
Cave - Carnival (Max Walder Remix)
Tomas vs Filterheadz - Sunshine
Rhythim is Rhythim - Icon
Speedy J - Sevntrak
Aril Brikha - Groove La' Chord
DJ Rolando - Jaguar

Also, a question to the techheads out there: where does one draw the line of tech-house? Sunshine and D-Clash? Aril Brikha and Jaguar?

Ok I know I am going to hear a lot of s**t for saying this but I actually liked this album
everybody else didn't care for.

Hes my fave Dj/producer though so it might be the reason why I liked it and everybody else thought it was boring.

Really thin line.
If it sounds housey I would call it house.
But there are recordstores that categorize their music differently,
some will trow tech house in the house genre some in the techno.
So you can see the same record being labeled as techhouse in one record shop
and as techno in another.
And its all done by people that actually know music and genres.
I consider Richie hawtin to be techno, somebody who relates the word techno to
djs/poducers such as Marco bailey,Cave, umek, ignition technitian ect.
would throw hawtin's music in the house bin I guess.

So the above does qualify as techno, but Hawtin does not? Good grief. Are you even aware of the earlier works of Hawtin, and the fact he's not in the least limited to the minimal stuff he's been known for to a larger crowd in the last few years?
